Session Description: What happens when life changes in an instant and the path forward looks nothing like the one you planned. Drawing from his experience, rebuilding his life after a catastrophic illness resulted in becoming a quadruple amputee. Jeff will share a powerful perspective on resilience adaptability and leadership. Attendees will learn practical strategies for navigating adversity, embracing change, challenging assumptions about disabilities, in creating environments where people can thrive… even when the rules change.

Speaker Bio: Jeff Belcher is a motivational speaker, resilience advocate, and leadership storyteller who brings a powerful perspective on overcoming adversity, adapting to change, and finding a way forward when life does not go as planned. A former competitive tennis athlete at the NCAA Division I level and Director of Tennis at country clubs in Florida, New York, and Connecticut, Jeff spent over twenty years developing the mindset, discipline, and ability to perform under pressure that come with competitive athletics, not only for himself, but also his clients. Those experiences shaped as approach to leadership, perseverance, preparation, and personal accountability… then his life changed dramatically. A catastrophic illness resulted in the loss of both legs below the knees and most of his fingers, forcing him to rebuild virtually every aspect of his daily life. Simple tasks required new approaches, new skills, and an entirely different mindset. What followed taught him that resilience isn’t about going back to who you were before adversity, it’s about learning how to move forward when the rules have changed.Today, Jeff brings that perspective to organizations and leaders sharing practical lessons on adversity, embracing change, challenging assumptions about disabilities, and creating environments where people can thrive.
